Once you unlock Sastro, who eventually takes up refuge in your camp, you'll take on the task of asking the Lost Gestrals to return. For each Lost Gestral kid you find, Sastro will give you a gift.

Lost Gestrals are hidden around the world map. That's the open-world area you traverse to reach each zoned level. You can find them in any order you like.

You can find a fair few of the Lost Gestrals just by wandering around on foot or by smashing through objects with Esquie. To find the lot, though, you're going to need the ability to swim and fly. Divers need not apply.

Here's where to find each Lost Gestral location:

Lost Gestral #1

You'll find the first Lost Gestral right outside the portal to Esquie's Hideout. You can't really miss it.

Lost Gestral #2

As soon as you leave the Forgotten Battlefield, you'll begin to make tracks toward Monoco's Station. Before heading up that path, stick to the right to spot a lost Gestral close to where the snow meets the grass.

Strabami, a Gestral merchant, is a more noticeable focal point to watch for.

Lost Gestral #3

Once Esquie can swim and break the coral reefs, you can seek out this Lost Gestral on a branched section of land sandwiched between the icy area. Head to the northern shore to spot it.

Lost Gestral #4

Right before entering the Stone Wave Cliffs zone, you'll probably notice a horrifically tall Bourgoun blocking the path to the right. Manage to beat it up and you'll spot a Lost Gestral a bit further up and to your right.

Keep going after that to find a great Pictos good for healing with each parry. Very helpful.

Lost Gestral #5

You'll find this Gestral on one of the larger islands south of the Axon islands. Head up the grassly gnoles until you spot two mimes hand-in-hand, ready to rumble. The Lost Gestral is just a bit further ahead to their right.

Lost Gestral #6

Another Lost Gestral can be found on the very eastern point of the map, just off the ledge of the Endless Night Sanctuary, right before the dangerous monsters.

Lost Gestral #7

Head toward the initial part of the continents down to the South, this time heading West onto the small island containing the White Tree zone.

Look around the messy foliage and you'll soon spot the signature pots of a Lost Gestral camp on its southern point.

Lost Gestral #8

The penultimate Gestral (for us, at least) was found just north of The Reacher. That's the wooden tower housing the final Axon that was unreachable when you first needed to claim their pure chroma.

Find a spot to land just north of the zone and you'll find the Lost Gestral at the end opposite the Gestral Merchant.

Lost Gestral #9

Likely the final Lost Gestral for most is one high up in the skies surrounding the Endless Tower. Hug the southern tip of the landmass it's on and use Esquie to fly straight up until you spot a large chunk of floating rock.

There aren't many others around to distract you, so spotting the final Lost Gestral's hiding spot shouldn't be too hard.
