HoYoverse has just given us the full details on Zenless Zone Zero 1.4, and there's a whole lot to look forward to in the next major patch for the anime gacha game. ZZZ has really won my heart this year, and while 1.3 has been a slightly quieter patch cycle, it looks like the developer was saving its best stuff for the holiday season. Alongside the long-awaited arrival of Miyabi, HoYoverse confirms that we'll be getting free S-rank agent Harumasa in 1.4, as well as more Encrypted Master Tape and Boopons for even more pulls.

All eyes are likely to be on the first ZZZ banner of 1.4, as Miyabi has been one of the game's most-wanted characters ever since she first made a brief but stylish appearance early in the narrative. As an ice anomaly specialist, you can be sure I'm saving up to add her to start building out a squad of frost specialists.
You shouldn't sleep on the second banner starring electric attacker Harumasa, however – he might do everything he can to get out of work, but he promises to be a real lightning bolt on the battlefield. He'll be a great addition to your team whether you're starting a new team, working off previous favorites such as Grace and Qingyi, or looking to complement a recent Yanagi pickup – and HoYoverse confirms that you can get him for the low price of absolutely nothing.
As previously rumored, the Special Visitor event in 1.4 will give you the ability to claim Harumasa for free, along with enough upgrade materials to get him all the way up to level 40, giving you a nice head start on the road to ranking him up. Alongside that, both the All-New Program and the "En-Nah" Into Your Lap ZZZ events are making a return, and will award you ten Encrypted Master Tape and ten Boopons respectively just for logging in over the course of seven days in total.
On top of this, there's even a special pre-registration event for the update. You'll find details about this in your in-game mail – simply pre- for 1.4, and you'll get a pleasing 160 Polychrome for your troubles. More upgrade materials are set to follow if enough players do so before the update arrives, and there's even a lucky draw with additional prizes up for grabs including more Polychrome, PlayStation 5 consoles, and a 1/7 scale figure of Nicole.
