Ubisoft has delayed The Division 2's DLC, pushing it out of the game's current Year 6 plans, in an effort to "deliver the best possible experience." This isn't the first delay for the story DLC, as it was previously postponed into 2025 as part of a comprehensive plan to tackle the game's health. This also isn't Ubisoft's first delay of the year, as the publisher moved Assassin's Creed Shadows back a month just a few weeks ago.
Back at the end of 2023, Ubisoft announced a plan to revitalize multiplayer game tick. This meant the story DLC was pushed back into 2025, and now that we're here, it's been delayed again.
"Our team is dedicated to continuing to build the future of The Division 2," Ubisoft writes in a new statement. "We have exciting updates in store including the new season we can't wait for you to play starting on Tuesday February 25."

"We know you are eagerly awaiting the release of the DLC. To ensure we deliver the best possible experience, we've decided to take a little extra time to refine it, therefore the DLC will not ship during Year 6."
Players estimate that the current season, Year 6 Season 2, will end sometime in March. The new story DLC was initially slated to release sometime around Season 3, but now we'll be getting that first.
This is Ubisoft's second delay of 2025 following Assassin's Creed Shadows.
As for the series' future, Ubisoft has already confirmed that it is working on The Division 3. PCGamesN received a statement from Ubisoft last year saying The Division 2 director Julian Gerighty will helm the sequel. "It's a privilege and an honor to be able to continue to build incredible and unforgettable experiences in this amazing world with the most talented teams around the world, and I can't wait for what's next," Gerighty said.
The delay follows yesterday's news that Ubisoft plans to close its Leamington office and downsize others in Dusseldorf, Stockholm, and Newcastle.
