The new Palworld Feybreak update is finally here, as developer Pocketpair massively expands what's available in one of the biggest Steam games of the year. We've got a brand new island, extra mechanics, more ways to play, and an array of smaller improvements to enhance your overall experience. If you stepped away from what everyone was calling 'Pokemon with guns' earlier this year, the free Feybreak update is the perfect time to jump back in.
The last major update. There are new tower bosses, Pal species, and even the Feybreak Warriors, "a new faction that dominates the island with the power of their missile battery camp."
We've also got our first taste of the survival game, with more to come as a part of the collab next year.

Feybreak also introduces a handful of new mechanics. You can now send your Pals out on expeditions to obtain supplies, which should be an easy way to set up ive income streams and put your myriad Pals to good use. You can conduct research at the Pal Labor Research Laboratory and unlock permanent ives and rewards to help with productivity, too.
There are also the brand-new Predator Pals. These roam the entire world and are "extremely difficult to defeat" but offer you rare resources if you manage to take them down. Speaking of resources, you can now find both Chromite and Hexolite Quartz across the world. Chromite is buried underground and can only be found by Pals that can detect metal, while Hexolite Quartz only exists on the island of Feybreak.
Feybreak also comes with some more difficult content, too, as the new Xenolord raid pits you against a dark mechanical dragon that controls its own army. Then there's the new oil rig stronghold with a "powerful attack chopper" that guards all the rewards inside (no, I'm not joking). If that sounds like it might be too tough don't worry, because the Palworld level cap has now been raised to 60 to help you out.
If you fancy restarting Palworld from scratch but want to do things a little differently, Pocketpair has added two new game modes for you to try. In Hardcore Mode, player and Pal death is permanent, so you'd better be careful when eyeing up those extra difficult encounters. You can also turn Palworld into a randomizer with the Random Pal Mode, where every single Pal spawn has been changed. This can either be done by region or across the entire game, with Pocketpair warning that the latter might be "a bit chaotic."
You can also find new weapons, buildings, skills, Pal skins, and plenty more minor changes in the Palworld Feybreak update. All of the patch notes can be read right here.
If you're diving back into the game and want even more to play around with we've got all the Palworld map.
