Thanks to engine upgrades brought over from Horizon Forbidden West, the minimum and recommended specs of this remaster are more demanding.

The Horizon Zero Dawn remastered system requirements have been revealed, and while you'll need a significantly better gaming PC to run this over the original, it's far from out of touch for older setups.

This Nvidia DLSS 3 and AMD FSR will be present on launch day to help with resolution upscaling, while Nvidia also brings frame generation for its RTX 4000 graphics cards.

The Horizon Zero Dawn remastered minimum requirements are a considerable improvement upon the original game, where an Intel Core i5-2500K and Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 would suffice.

Now, you'll need an Intel Core i5-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X paired with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT. The RAM requirement has also doubled between versions, with 16GB now being the minimum as opposed to 8GB.

As for the Horizon Zero Dawn remastered recommended specs, these are another considerable jump up on the previous game, but thankfully aren't overly demanding in the current landscape.

The GTX 1060 was previously the recommended GPU, but this is now the RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 5700. As for the U, you'll need an Intel Core i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600. The RAM requirement sticks at 16GB which is to be expected.

The Horizon Zero Dawn remastered size has also grown, with the original game requiring 100GB whereas the remastered version requires 135GB of SSD storage.
