What is the Grow a Garden Chicken Jockey?
Officially known as the Chicken Zombie in-game, the Grow a Garden Chicken Jockey feature is an equippable pet with a rather unique effect.
Having the Chicken Jockey roaming around your Grow a Garden plot gives a 20% chance to zombify a nearby fruit every 30 minutes, boosting its sale value.
The Chicken Jockey also speeds up the hatch speed of eggs placed in your garden by 10%, making it an efficient pet to have, even if your luck falls foul of its zombify fruit effect.
How do you get the Chicken Jockey in Grow a Garden?
Unlike most other pets, which come in the form of an egg that you place on your farm until it's time to hatch it, the incredibly rare Chicken Zombie was free for anyone who logged into the game just before the Blood Moon update landed.
If you did happen to be around when the update landed, just check your inventory. Use the search bar to look for the Chicken Zombie. It was added to the inventory of every player online when the update cutscene began.
Can you still get the Grow a Garden Chicken Zombie pet?
You can no longer get the Grow a Garden Chicken Jockey pet despite it still being the highlight image of the Grow a Garden Chicken Zombie update page from May 17–24.
How much is the Grow a Garden Chicken Zombie pet worth?
Given you can't trade the Chicken Zombie, it's hard to say how much it's worth. You can gift most items, but it's a one-way system, meaning you can only have mutual agreements to trade one item for another. You can't trade an item for in-game cash, Robux, or real money.
But that won't always stop people. If you happen to have the Grow a Garden Chicken Jockey pet on an you don't mind losing, you could always give the whole thing away.
