The first Greedfall wasn't an incredible game, but it was a solid effort at a Bioware-style RPG game from a much smaller studio that managed to capture some of the appeal of classics like Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins. Its sequel, Greedfall 2: The Dying World, came out last fall to much less acclaim, however, with our own review calling it "a buggy, boring mess" that "needs a lot of work." Spiders, the studio behind the game, is actively putting in that work as it progresses through Early Access, though, which, along with a new discount and stronger reviews, makes now a good time to see how far it's come along for yourself.
Since update is starting to pay off.
As a result of the studio's work, Greedfall 2's reputation has been improving on Steam. While its overall rating is still at 56% or 'Mixed,' Spiders' updates seem to be getting the game into better shape. At the time of writing, it holds a 71% or 'Mostly Positive' rating, which is certainly a step up from several months ago.
