GTA 6 voice actors and cast rumors

All the latest news and speculation for the voice actors bringing Lucia, Jason, and the rest of the GTA 6 cast to life in Rockstar's sequel.

Who are the GTA 6 voice actors? The GTA series has seen many iconic voices over the years. Who could forget the late great Ray Liotta as Tommy Vercetti in Vice City, or Samuel L. Jackson laying down the law as Officer Tenpenny in San Andreas? However, more recent GTA games have up-and-comers voicing the main cast, paving the way for successful careers.

The GTA 6 release date, we've got strong suspicions about the actors set to bring the GTA 6 characters to life. Here's all the latest news, rumors, and speculation about the GTA 6 cast list.

GTA 6 voice actors

Here are the rumored GTA 6 voice actors so far:

  • Lucia Caminos – Manni L. Perez
  • Jason Duval – Dylan Rourke
  • Cal Hampton – Bobby Moynihan
  • Brian Heder – Stephen Root

Lucia Caminos, one of the characters brought to life by the GTA 6 cast.

Lucia Caminos

Manni L. Perez is most likely Lucia. Perez has been on the radar as a possible candidate for several years now due to her uncanny resemblance to Lucia, both in her looks and voice. The Puerto Rican actress is best known for her appearances on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Jessica Jones, and Click Next to Continue, but her credits list has been pretty light from 2023 onwards.

Perez has gone on record that she'd like to transition into voice and motion capture work, and Lucia would certainly fit the bill. We also know she's been attached to a "big" project since 2021 thanks to an interview with DJ Echo. Perez refused to rule out whether it was a TV or movie "NDAs. That's all I can say," she deflected. Whatever this project may be, her involvement remains unannounced. Perez lent her voice for "Clubber #2" in the GTA Online's Casino Heist update, but this certainly doesn't rule out involvement in GTA 6.

Previous names attached to the role by fans include Natalie Morales and Alexandra C. Echavarri. Morales is most known as Lucy in Parks and Recreation, and her mannerisms seem very similar to Lucia's in GTA trailer 1. However, she's also been busy over the past few years, picking up a recurring role on Grey's Anatomy alongside voice work. We've also ruled out Echavarri following her role as Lupe in GTA Online. While still a minor character, it's a more substantial role than Perez's "Clubber #2," though we concede it's been some years since the Criminal Enterprises update.

Jason Duval, one of the characters brought to life by the GTA 6 cast.

Jason Duval

Dylan Rourke is the current frontrunner for Jason. Like Perez, Rourke bears a very close physical and vocal resemblance to Jason. The American actor has appeared in Grey's Anatomy, Station 19, and Modern Family, though it appears he's yet to secure a breakout role. GTA 6 would certainly help in that regard.

Rourke has allegedly made some major adjustments to his internet presence in recent years which align with Rockstar's preference for secrecy. Some fans even claim that Rourke and Perez were following each other before the release of the first trailer. More recently, videos hosted on Vimeo have disappeared following the growing speculation that he could be our Jason.

Some fans were convinced they'd identified Troy Baker's distinctive voice in the first GTA 6 trailer, but this was later refuted by the man himself. "People think, and they automatically assume," Baker said. "I want that guy, whoever it is, to get credit for his work." Another popular voice actor in the videogame space, Roger Craig Smith, also denied the role. "Nope. Not me," he posted on X/Twitter. If you've been holding a candle for Ezio-slash-Batman-slash-Sonic to appear in GTA 6, consider it snuffed out.

Bryan Zampella stole the spotlight as a potential for the role throughout 2023, adding fuel to the fire with a GTA 6 tease with Shawn Fonteno. However, this level of self-promotion isn't compatible with how Rockstar operates, and he's since gone quiet.

Cal Hampton, one of the characters brought to life by the GTA 6 cast.

Cal Hampton

Bobby Moynihan is the top contender to play Cal. The Saturday Night Live actor and comedian has a pretty recognizable voice, especially when he hams it up for a character, and Cal sure is a character. Moynihan is no stranger to satire, and he's got plenty of voice work under his belt to make him a good prospect for Rockstar.

While we've got our sights set on Moynihan, it's hard to overlook the strong resemblance that Cal has to Matty Matheson. We can definitely see it, but there's a strong possibility that this is just the character archetype that Matheson often plays, rather than Matheson himself. The actor, restaurateur, and all-around internet personality has yet to comment either way.

Brian Heder, one of the characters brought to life by the GTA 6 cast.

Brian Heder

Stephen Root is a shoe-in for Brian. The Florida Keys drug runner is equal parts gruff and likable, which is pretty much Root's wheelhouse. Root has plenty of credits to his name, including Office Space and Dodge Ball, but in recent years he's most known for his role as Fuches in Barry. Root is comfortable with playing characters on the wrong side of the law, and he's also picked up a lot of voice work in recent years, both of which stand him in good stead for GTA 6. Even better? He's from Florida.

Even if these early theories prove true, there are still plenty of GTA 6 cast to discover. We've still had zero indication of who might voice the major players of Vice City that were revealed in the second trailer, including Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Raul Bautista, and the Real Dimez duo. The possibility of encountering John Cena in GTA 6 is also still on the table, but he's unlikely to voice any of the above for obvious reasons.

That's the latest scoop for the GTA 6 voice actors, but check back as more is revealed on the run-up to the GTA 6 on PC any time soon.
