It's been nearly two decades since The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion first came out, with only Skyrim and The Elder Scrolls Online as main series follow-ups in the time since. This is probably the reason there's been such a fervor surrounding the rumours of a remastered version of Oblivion that have been swirling around the internet for the past several years, growing in volume over the last few weeks. Now, we've finally received confirmation that The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is not only real, but that we should have all the facts on its coming launch very soon.
open-world game surfacing recently to lend further credence to claims of the project's existence. Today, the official Bethesda X finally confirmed the remaster. It posted a screenshot of a burning eye and the Roman numeral IV with no caption other than "Tomorrow, 11:00 am EST" and links to the company's Twitch and YouTube pages.
Given that our Oblivion Remastered release date estimate points to a possible 'shadow drop,' the game very well could be made available just after Bethesda's livestream announcement concludes tomorrow. Because Bethesda is owned by Microsoft, it's equally likely that Oblivion Remastered could launch on Game as well.
