Tinkering with your stat distribution is crucial if you're eager to switch from a dual-wielding melee maestro to a spell-slinging wizard on the fly, but accessing it isn't as simple as opening a menu. Aside from a full walkthrough to respec, we've also included how to respec during the Sellen quest when the person you need to meet suddenly disappears. Don't panic, things aren't as bad as you think.
One of the great things about FromSoftware's best PC games in recent years.
How to respec in Elden Ring
Before you can respec in Elden Ring, you'll need a specific Divine Tower to unlock its power, and you don't need to equip it. You get this particular rune from defeating Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon.
After you've defeated her, Rennala will be available in Raya Lucaria Grand Library where you can give her a Larval Tear to access the 'Rebirth' function. There are only a finite number of Larval Tears in the open-world game , so be sure to use The Loadout's Larval Tear locations guide to maximise your respec chances.
Elden Ring respec Sellen quest
If you decide to side with Sellen during the final part of this Elden Ring quest line, she will occupy the space that Rennala typically resides in. We understand that this may seem alarming, because without Rennala there is no respec option, but never fear. Simply ensure you complete the Sellen quest in full, and then reload the area in the Grand Library where Rennala is found. Regardless of what was going on during the Sellen quest and how you resolved it, Rennala will be back in place once it's all over.
Sellen herself may or may not have been transformed into a giant boulder at this point – she'll still be in the room and you can still purchase spells from her, even in her new rock form.
