Activision has confirmed when the Call of Duty: Warzone Verdansk map is coming back to the battle royale, and we don't have long to wait. The original locale is arriving alongside Black Ops Season 3, and marks a huge moment for the struggling free version of CoD. Players have been calling for improvements for some time, alongside the return of Verdansk, so a lot is riding on the map's arrival.
Five years after we first dropped into surprise delay, but now we do.
For the last few months, Warzone players have been especially vocal about the state of the highlighting the improvements it's making to the game.

Everything from bug fixes to mechanical changes are in the works, with a slew of minor adjustments planned to help right the ship. "Our priority is having the most solid foundation that Battle Royale can offer and [we] are excited for players to see it all live," Activision wrote at the time.
Will these changes and the return of Verdansk be enough to satiate players? Only time will tell, but at least we don't have long to wait before we're diving back into Warzone's original map.
Verdansk returns to Call of Duty: Warzone on Thursday April 3.
