How do I revive characters in Baldur's Gate 3? Death is a constant hazard in Baldur's Gate 3, and we don't need to tell you that it should be avoided at all costs. You can perform a Death Saving Throw up to three times after your character is downed in order to revive them. A successful roll stabilizes them with one hit point, though they remain unconscious, while three failed rolls result in their death.
However, you don't just have to rely entirely on luck to revive characters in BG3. Of course, choosing the Baldur's Gate 3.
How to revive characters
You can revive characters in Baldur's Gate 3 by performing the 'Help' Action in combat during a Death Saving Throw, using a Scroll of Revivify, or speaking to Withers back at your camp.
The 'Help' Action
You have a chance to revive downed characters in combat by using the 'Help' Action during another character's turn. This immediately restores your fallen ally to full consciousness, albeit with a single hit point.
Scroll of Revivify
Simply select the Scroll of Revivify from your inventory when needed and cast the spell to resurrect your fallen Bard.
Scrolls of Revivify are extremely valuable, and therefore quite difficult to come by. You can expect to receive one by completing the Escape the Nautiloid quest, with a further chance to earn them during later Baldur's Gate 3 quests and as random loot drops. You can purchase a Scroll of Revivify from Roah Moonglow in Shattered Sanctum, Cyrel at the Tollhouse on The Risen Road, or Arron at The Hollow in Druid Grove – or pickpocket them, if you're a little loose on morals.
Withers
If your character has already failed their Death Saving Throws and you're out of Scrolls of Revivify, don't panic. You can also speak to Baldur's Gate 3 camp, though that does require you to survive the combat encounter that's giving you trouble in order to fast travel back. Withers can resurrect your companion for 200 Gold, so don't come to him empty-handed.
Now that you know how to revive your fallen characters in Baldur's Gate 3, we highly recommend checking out the traits that can also prevent a swift death, so be sure to keep them to hand as you explore Faerun.
