Baldur's Gate 3 mod adds entire campaign inspired by World of Warcraft

An Baldur's Gate 3 mod is adding an entire campaign inspired by the WoW starting area of Tirisfal Glades, with a teaser coming.

Larian's Baldur's Gate 3 has quickly become one of the most popular games to mod. On Nexus Mods alone s sit at a staggering 255 million and counting, overtaking stalwarts like The Witcher 3. Larian capitalized on this community with complete mod , and since then the number of creations has kept on growing. From new outfits, weapons, and spells to entire custom quests, there's a lot on offer. This brings me to a new tease for a custom Baldur's Gate 3 campaign, which takes inspiration from none other than World of Warcraft.

Created by 'SquallyDaBeanz,' the 'Forsaken' custom campaign aims to recreate none other than World of Warcraft's Undead starting zone, the Tirisfal Glades. The Baldur's Gate 3, this one looks to be doing things quite differently.

The custom-modded campaign's teaser "will feature the 'Deathknell' region," SquallyDaBeanz writes (via VideoGamer). "It includes a few quests and several new encounters and locations. It will take the player to level two and can be completed in roughly 60-90 minutes. It's meant to be a small part of a larger campaign one day."

While the "map and set dressing" are going to be a close approximation of Tirisfal Glades, SquallyDaBeanz notes that transporting the area from WoW to BG3 means there will be plenty more changes. The encounters, quests, loot, and more have all been adapted to Baldur's Gate 3, so I wouldn't expect things to be exactly the same as they are in the MMO.

It's clear from the teaser that this mod is still in the early stages of production, but I have a soft spot for how it looks. There's a certain eerie nostalgia baked into SquallyDaBeanz's work, and I can't wait to see what else they've been cooking for the project.
