Right now you can save a huge $400 on the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, bringing the price of this svelte machine down to just $1,199, a drop of 25% from the usual $1,599 price.

It's backed up by a great spec as well. Inside this particular model of the Zephyrus G14 you'll find an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, which we've found offers decent performance in the latest games at 1080p, and it also s frame generation via Nvidia DLSS 3, enabling it to push out even faster frame rates than its predecessor.
You get a fantastic U as well, with the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS featuring eight of AMD's powerful Zen 4 U cores, which can boost to a clock speed of 5.2GHz. That's a great inclusion in a laptop at this price, giving you plenty of power for both gaming and content creation. If there's one downer about the spec, it's the fact that the 16GB of LPDDR5X memory is soldered to the motherboard, so you can't upgrade it to 32GB of the best gaming RAM at a later date. You can't have everything at this price, though, and 16GB is still fine for gaming at the moment.
It's that OLED screen and gorgeous chassis that really make this laptop a bargain at this price, though. The screen even s Nvidia G-Sync, so it can synchronize its refresh rate with the frame rate of the GPU, putting a stop to on-screen tearing in fast gaming action. Its OLED also provides bright, punchy colors, with deep blacks and high contrast, making it great for movies and cinematic games, plus it's really responsive in fast-paced multiplayer games too.
It also has a pin-sharp resolution of 2,880 x 1,800, which is arguably overkill for a 14-inch screen. While this image looks amazingly sharp on the Windows desktop, though, you'll struggle to get the RTX 4060 GPU to play the latest games at this resolution with decent settings. You'll get good performance if you drop the resolution down to 1,920 x 1,080, though, and this still looks good on the 14-inch screen, even if it's not the native resolution.
Meanwhile, a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD gives you enough storage space to install a few games on your machine at the same time. Plus, unlike the RAM, you're able to swap out this M.2 drive for the best gaming SSD you can afford later.
