The Assassin's Creed Shadows cat island is located in the south of Lake Biwa, Omi. Okishima can be reached by boat or by swimming, be it from Azuchi to the southeast, Nagahama to the northeast, or from the Ado River Valley area to the west.
You'll naturally wander into the Omi region after defeating The Fool of the Shinbakufu, which for us was somewhere around the 12-hour mark. You can make a beeline for the island even earlier, though, considering there isn't a hostile presence in Okishima. If you can somehow restrain yourself, you'll naturally arrive on the island later on as part of one of the AC Shadows romance quests – an ideal date spot, we're sure you'll agree.
