There are a lot of Escape From Tarkov challengers right now. The tactical FPS genre is filled with the likes of Gray Zone Warfare, Delta Force, and Arena Breakout Infinite. Each game wants to offer you something a little different, and ABI itself has had some positive so far. Apart from the common player complaint that paid items give those with deep pockets an advantage, it's a robust shooter with tense combat. It's about to get even better soon, too, as developer MoreFun Studios has finally outlined what we can expect in Season One.
Season One of FPS game modes like Fog Event, Storm Event, Farm Assault, and Armory Assault. You can also expect eight new weapons, a female character model, and a new battle as well.
Arena Breakout Infinite producer Enzo Zhang sat down to talk about the community's requested changes. In regards to cheating, Zhang says the team is "working on a compensation mechanic for victims" of other players; at some point in the future, you'll be compensated with the in-game currency Keon if eliminated by a cheater. The amount of Koen will be based on what you lost thanks to the cheater, in an effort to "reassure" you that the elimination isn't your fault.

Zhang also addresses the player demand for more solo-focused game modes, instead of just the team-based ones available right now. "Solo gamers are a really important addition to our game, so if there's a large demand for an evenly-matched solo game mode, we're also speaking to the game designers about the feasibility of that." So if you want ABI to have more opportunities for solo play, make sure you let MoreFun know.
Then Zhang talks about nerfing the T7 thermal goggles. Many players have been saying that the T7 is too strong because of how much easier it makes spotting other players from a distance, as it clearly highlights them against the background. "We have noticed that the T7 in raid percentage is pretty high," Zhang says. "On this point, our position is that players who bring in a T7 want a thermal imaging device to give them extra info and gain that tactical advantage over other players. But the T7 also costs a lot, so they risk a big loss if they're eliminated. So, in principle, we'd like to think that it balances out."
Zhang its that being able to put the T7 into a secure case, "which is completely risk-free," is a problem. The team is considering removing that opportunity, meaning players with T7s can lose them mid-session.
