The first signs of AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT gaming GPUs have been spotted in an official government database, suggesting that their launch isn't too far away. While AMD hasn't yet officially announced these new graphics cards, the appearance of these Asus branded cards on a South Korean government database provides a firm clue that the GPU will have 8GB and 16GB VRAM variants.

At least six Prime, Dual, and TUF-branded Asus RX 9070 XT cards have appeared on the South Korean Radio Research Agency website, the agency responsible for certifying the safety of electronic products for sale in that country. The cards were initially spotted by tech leaker harukaze5719, who shared the links in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The data shared on the RRA website is unrevealing, but it's the model names that provide the most interest. Out of the six models listed, three have names ending in 8G or O8G, while the others end in 16G or O16G. This naming structure has been used by Asus for some time on both Nvidia and AMD cards and typically refers to 8GB and 16GB VRAM options, with the 'O' indicating cards that overclocking.
AMD hasn't confirmed any of this information so far. However, 8GB and 16GB variants would make this card an interesting matchup to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. This new Nvidia GPU is expected to launch with 8GB and 16GB VRAM options in an effort to capture as much of the budget GPU market as possible, although that GPU is expected to use faster GDDR7 memory chips.
Given that these cards are now being certified by government bodies such as the South Korean RRA, we'll be hoping to see them launch soon. AMD has already announced that RX 9060 products will launch in Q2 2025, so hopefully it won't be too long until we can put them to the test.
